Downhole Progressive Cavity Pump

Progressive cavity pumps are positive displacement pumps which depend on the interference fit between the rotor in eccentric motion and the fixed rotor. This forms seal cavities that are disconnected from each other. Through the rotation of the rotor inside the stator, the seal cavities are moved axially from the inlet end of the pump to the outlet. This is how fluid mediums are conveyed using the seal cavities of the pump.

    1. Small one-time investment
    Compared to electric submersible pumps, a hydraulic piston pump and beam pumping unit, the downhole progressive cavity pump is easy to use with a low, one time investment.
    2. High efficiency, energy saving
    The operation load is stable, with a mechanical loss range small at 75%, and mechanical loss of the plunger and centrifugal pump only at 30-40%. [GF2]

    Pump parts
    Stator: the rubber component is made of high performance rubber (such as NBR, NBRH, HNBR, or FKM) that features an outstanding oil, water, high temperature and swelling resistance.
    Rotor: The pump rotor is made of 45 steel, 42CrM alloy steel, 2Cr13, 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel and other steel materials. It is produced using high precision CNC screw processing equipment, then surface plated with chrome in order to achieve additional wear and corrosion resistance.

    1. Downhole screw pump
    The stator and rotor are connected to the end of the tubing and the sucker rod. The ground driving equipment drives the rotor to rotate through the sucker rod and lifts the downhole liquid to the surface
    2. Rotor
    The rotor material of downhole screw pump is mainly 45 steel, 42CrM alloy steel, 2Cr13, 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel, etc., which is manufactured by high precision CNC screw processing equipment. The external surface is chrome-plated, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant. Rotor processing equipment PS1000 introduced from Germany, high processing accuracy, can process single-head, multi-head rotor, size error ≤±0.04mm, processing workpiece up to 10m.
    3. Stator
    The stator of Sabert downhole screw pump is made of German technology, and its rubber material is mainly NBR, NBRH, HNBR, FKM and other high-performance rubber, which has excellent oil resistance, water resistance, high temperature resistance and swelling resistance.
    4. : The ground drive device is the main ground equipment of the downhole screw pump oil production system, which is the mechanical device that transmits the power to the downhole pump rotor, so that the rotor can achieve planetary movement and realize the suction of crude oil
    There are two main driving devices of Sabert, namely the new gear direct drive screw pump special ground drive device and permanent magnet motor direct drive device

    Product Applications

    A downhole progressive cavity pump connects the stator and the rotor of the pump to the end of the tube and sucker rod. The ground drive equipment then rotates the rotor through use of the sucker rod, thereby lifting underground liquid to the surface. This cavity pump is often used lift crude oil under 8000mPa.s, making it useful for most thick oil wells, such as high sand wells, high gas wells, offshore oil field cluster well groups, horizontal wells and more.
